So I do not run
aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air.

Corinthians 9:26
Living a life worthy of the
gospel. Not running aimlessly without a purpose. But striving towards what lies
ahead. As Daniel purposed in his heart not to eat the king’s food, so I need to
purpose it in my heart to strive with everything I have to accomplish what God
has called me to do. Not live a life like one beating the air, taking swings at
nothing and getting burnt out with the produce of no fruit. But having a goal,
having my eyes set on the prize and bearing fruit along the way. When I try to
do this on my own, I fail miserably. I get burnt out and I swing at things that
I shouldn’t, trying to make myself look like I have it all together and know
what I’m doing, but really I have no idea. I need to realize that the Holy
Spirit is there to help me every step of the way. Jesus said before He left to
be with the Father that He was leaving a helper for us, and that is the Holy
Spirit. An ever present help in trouble and a comfort when I’m weak. I need to
look to Him for help and for the strength I need to run with a purpose and box
with all I have. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the
spiritual realm, there is so much that goes on that we don’t even see. I pray
that the Lord would give me wisdom to know how much He intercedes for us and
how much I need to always have the full armor of God on. Because that is part
of running with a purpose, being prepared and knowing the enemy. I need to be
prepared with the armor of God and be aware of who the enemy is in my life.
Application- memorize the armor of God.
